Milkweed Seed Processing

Monday, November 2nd, 2026 from 9:00am to 12:00pm (MT)

About

We're going to be de-husking and de-fluffing a massive bag of Showy Milkweed (Asclepias speciosa) seeds! We need to remove all material besides the seeds themselves for ease of sowing them, and success of germination where we're trying to perform restoration work. This work will mostly be done sitting. It's a good time to chat, learn about native plants, and help with an important step in restoration ecology work! Feel free to take seeds home at the end.
