About
Fall is mating season for deer, elk, and moose! Join Ranger Dave Gustafson for this exciting slideshow and learn how these members of the deer family communicate during this important time of year. You’ll discover the meanings of terms like wallow, olfaction, rub, and scrape. We’ll also explore the remarkable scent glands these animals use. During the fall these critters can display unusual and aggressive behavior and are involved in more vehicle collisions than at any other time of year. We’ll talk about how to stay safe, and how to protect wildlife. Dave will also share stories and insights from his 30‑plus years of experience working with these incredible animals.
