About
Older Adults 3rd Wednesday Wonderland Lake Walk
Boulder Walks - Older Adults
Join Jean in a program for older adults to encourage healthy movement and connecting with one another. The monthly walks will circumvent Wonderland Lake as we stroll and share.
TYPE: Monthly walk PACE: Gentle ~2 mph
TERRAIN: Crusher fines path
DISTANCE and TIME: Less than 2 miles for one hour
We offer recurring monthly walks along city streets and urban paths, with even some trails as eventual possibilities. You, the walking community, can help provide ideas for preferred types and durations of walks in Boulder. We will move at your pace. All physical circumstances and limitations are welcome. There will be some elevation gain – this is Boulder after all! We will guide and protect, but all participants are responsible for their own safety.
Walk Description: One-hour conversational loop around a lovely foothills pond south of Foothills Community Park, with paragliders and eagles often occupying the sky above.
NEW TIME
Schedule and transit: We will meet at 10:00 a.m. in the trailhead parking lot. Additional parking is available along Broadway. There are no restroom facilities but a cafe and grocery are nearby on Quince Ave at Broadway. The trailhead is on the RTD Skip route.
We will begin walking at 10:05, so please arrive on time. Be sure to bring water and sun protection. Check the forecast and wear appropriate clothing.
Well-behaved and well-socialized dogs on 6' or shorter leashes are welcome.
