Food Tax Rebate Volunteer - April 15-June 30

Make a direct impact on Boulder residents! Housing and Human Services is seeking two volunteers (5 hours/week) on Wednesdays to assist with the Food Tax Rebate program April 15, 2025 – June 30, 2025. The Food Tax rebate compensates residents with lower incomes for the city sales tax they pay on food. This program is growing each year and processes over 1000 applications in a short period of time. Office support is needed!

This position will help ensure a dignified and efficient experience for people applying for and enrolling in the program, and add valuable capacity to the project staff.

This volunteer role will help with office duties to process and organize applications including the following:

• Receive and open mailed applications
• Organize documents for each applicant
• Data entry
• Filing applications
• Mail out applications

Other position details and requirements:

• Work will be in office, Wednesdays at the New Britain building, 1101 Arapahoe St.
• Job will require light lifting, 10-15 pounds.
• The position will need to maintain confidential applicant information.
