Boulder Creek Park Native Landscaping

Come help care for some of the many native landscaped beds around the center of the city! Volunteers will be assisting in removing invasive plants from these areas, as well as collecting and spreading native seeds.

What Volunteers Should Be Able to Do

• Use of vision or other observational skills to identify different plant materials.
• Manipulate and handle small items and sort organic materials.
• Traverse safely on uneven natural ground.
• Use basic hand tools such as trowels, dandelion pullers, and long-handled tools.
• Stay aware of surroundings and follow outdoor safety guidance. 

How Volunteers Can be Best Prepared

• Dress for the weather.
• Closed toed shoes, boots or sneakers are required.
• A light snack will be provided (bring additional nutrition if needed).

This event will rotate weekly to an area of need. You will be notified of the exact location (all walking distance from the Boulder Public Library) Monday before the Thursday event.
