About
Join the City of Boulder Open Space & Mountain Parks team to celebrate National Trails Day!
This year's project will focus on construction of the Hidden Valley Trail reroute. This new trail will improve sustainability, help protect sensitive habitats, open additional trails to cyclists, and improve accessibility for adaptive cyclists. Lunch will be provided. More information about the long-term project can be found HERE. This project is also a part of Leave No Trace's (LNT) Spotlight weekend for OSMP. LNT's Traveling Team will be on site to introduce volunteers to LNT and share information on how to protect OSMP land.
We will be meeting at the Eagle & Degge Trail West Access Point at 8am. Parking is limited and carpooling is encouraged!
PREPARATION FOR THE DAY:
- Three liters of water & snacks.
- Sturdy closed-toe shoes or boots (no "five finger" types of shoes, sandals, etc.)
- Rain jacket
- Personal first aid, if you have one (OSMP will have a group first aid kit)
- Backpack to carry personal items
- Sunglasses, hat and sunscreen
- Clothing appropriate for weather conditions
Dress appropriately for Colorado weather and to work in an outdoor setting off trail. If volunteers come unprepared, you will not be allowed on the project site. OSMP will provide snacks, extra water, gloves and safety gear. Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If you have questions contact Anna Daves at davesa@bouldercolorado.gov or 720-576-9327.
Thank you, we look forward to working with you!
